Why eating healthy is the key to living healthy
Have you decided eating healthy is not for you? Perhaps you feel, at your age, you've no need to worry about it. Many people feel there's no harm in eating cheap unhealthy food while they're young, and it's possible you know young people who wolf down pizza, ice cream, and burgers virtually every day. And perhaps you know seniors who tell themselves they're too old for this 'eating healthy nonsense'.
Fortunately many of us realize that, if we want to be feeling good and looking good as years pass by, eating healthy is our best option. We are the lucky ones who know that, unless we change our eating habits, we will feel the impact of all that junk food as we grow older, and our bodies will wear out before their time.

So, What do you think eating healthy is all about? For me the big thing I wanted to know about the foods I eat is the amount of vitamins and fat they contain. We all need a daily intake of vitamins and other essential ingredients in our food but we certainly don't need to consume loads of fat.
Now don't get me wrong, our bodies need some fat but the fat we don't want is unhealthy saturated fat... the kind of fat we get in ice cream and fast food. And don't you just know this... with too much unhealthy fat in your body you won't be looking good, and most likely not feeling good.
I guess you'll agree it's prudent to avoid all the processed foods such as crackers, chips, cereals and snack foods. It will pay you to shop wisely and prepare your meals at home, instead of eating out. Doing this will save you a bundle of money, and your health could improve drastically.
So is the answer to eating healthy the preparation of our own meals? I can see that when you prepare your own meals, you truly control what goes in them.
Is it better to eat 'organic'?
Eat organically grown produce and meats if you can get them, as when you don't eat 'organic' you are probably consuming a lot of pesticides, hormones and antibiotics.
Many vegetables, meats and dairy products that are not organic contain varying amounts of these ingredients and when enough of them accumulate in your body... (please find out for yourself and make your own choice).
